Review Links

Create a Review link and collect comments directly on the learning.

Written by Peter

A review lets a user experience the learning before it’s published and share feedback directly within it.

Courso allows creators to create and send out review links for internal and external customers.

Link Visibility

Links can be Private where reviewers only see comments added by reviewers and replies by creators. Or, Open where Creator comments added are seen by reviewers too (everyone sees all comments). Links can be changed at any time.

Multiple review links can be created. For example you might want internals to see all comments, while external clients only reviewer added comments - in this case you would create two review links. Reviewers using the Open link see all comments by all people. Reviewers accessing the Private link only see comments added by reviewers.

Creating a Review Link

  1. This is done on the course page under the Reviews tab.

  2. Creators then add emails of anyone they wish to review. If the profile exists Courso already knows, otherwise it creates a profile automatically.

  3. Anyone receiving an email with a review link clicks the url and is sent a passcode to the email the link was sent to, they populate and they are on the review.

  4. Once a link is created, authors can copy the email draft with links to the review and the review guide and paste into their mail client e.g. Outlook or Gmail.

How reviews work

Courso reviews allow anyone with the link to access and scroll through the learning adding or replying to comments anywhere on any page.

Comments

The review displays a fixed review bar at the bottom of the page. A reviewer clicks the plus and then postions the cursor where they wish to make a comment.

A comment is usually just text. It can also have urls pasted directly into the comment which are usually automatically formatted, upload files like PDFs, Office docs, or videos, or react to others comments too.

Comments can be made directly on:

  • Text

  • Images

  • Video

  • Flipcards - front or back

  • Accordions

  • Audio

  • Interactive elements like processes, modals

  • Quizzes and Knowledge Checks

Note: Video embeds, and PDFs cannot be directly commented on - so comments. SOme areas do not allow comments and visual feedback on the mouse pointer is provided to a reviewer looking to add a comment.

Resolving Comments

Reviewers can resolve, but typically this is done by creators. Instructional designers/authors have tools in the builder which enable them to rapidly review, respond, or resolve comments. Smart filters are built in to view All, open, resolved comments.

All actions are done in the learning - it is built to be intuitive.
