How to make uniform changes across groups

πŸ‘‹ This article shows you how to best use Sync Changes under Layout Settings.

Sync Changes

In Courso, where two or more same content set out groups are on a page under Edit Layout Settings there is a toggle that will be on.

This toggle is essentially meaning any change [apart from text editing] you make to one group will immediately update the other group(s) on the layout.

When you edit text in a one group when Sync Changes is on, the text changes applied such as style, or color, or text copy will not update on an adjacent group's same Text block.

The same applies to color in buttons for example. This allows you flexibility to have a subtle variance applied if you wish too.

Sync Changes Disabled

When 'Sync changes disabled.' displays under Edit Layout Settings, it really means the content between groups on a paged is not aligned. For example, sometimes you may turn off Sync Changes, add content to one group and not the other and then try to turn Sync Changes back on. It will be disabled and remain that way unless the content blocks are the same.

Sync Changes is really to help you set up the structure across groups before you start editing text, changing color, and so on.
